The wisdom I wish to share with moms is to pave the path leading to peace and solitude with your current situation and yourself as soon as you can. This could look like going to therapy or picking up a hobby you’ve been eyeing for a while. My motherhood experience was met with long stretches of isolation and silence coupled with a lack of support. I wish I had started the journey of taking care of myself much sooner because being okay with the quiet moments would have allowed me the mental capacity to connect with my son and my surroundings.
